Logan Grendel is a New York City native who specializes in portraits, commercial food and clothing photography and digital art.

He received his first SLR as a high school graduation gift and from that moment on the lens became a major part of how he viewed the world.  At college, he found himself spending 40+ hours a week shooting, working in the darkroom, experimenting with lighting and creating elaborate (and sometimes odd) studio setups.

Instead of going to art school, Logan opted to learn directly from professionals working at one of the top custom labs in NYC.  For three years he worked with corporate clients, individuals and technicians, helping them bring their ideas to fruition.  Supplementing on-the-job training with classes at ICP, he began to flesh out his own vision.  After work and classes, he would return to his growing home studio to experiment.

He officially began his career shortly thereafter with analog photography, shunning new digital equipment. However, after heeding a bit of good advice from a trusted friend he discovered an aptitude for Photoshop which took his work to the next level. With the new knowledge he transitioned to digital equipment, growing with it as the medium advanced.

Starting with event photography, headshots and some photojournalism, Logan continued to explore both the city and photography.  In 2003 he turned an art room share into his first studio and Niesha Studio was born.

A while later, Logan's random explorations in creative photography germinated into an idea to create a graphic novel using photos as the images rather than drawings.  After experimenting for a while, he designed a series of actions in Photoshop that gave his images the look of comic-style drawings and the final idea was solidified.  The "photo/graphic novel"
Harlequin's Song began shooting in 2005 and was released in 2006.

After moving to a bigger, better studio in Chelsea, he turned his focus to the commercial aspects of the business and worked more with corporate clients and projects.  It soon became clear though that creativity was missing from his photographic life and he began to work on new goals.  One day he accidentally stacked two images on top of one another and discovered the Photoscapes series, a group of "collages" which layer 2-8 individually complete photos to create a unique image with the texture of a dream.  Around that time Niesha Studio, LLC became Infinite Idea Images.

Logan now works with the commercial and the creative equally, and is as happy shooting cakes and steaks as projects from the imagination.  He will work with you on location or in studio to help you get the shots that will bring any one of your infinite ideas to life.
